Honeymoon Safaris

Honeymoon safaris: private suites, star beds, sundowners in the bush and a barefoot beach finish.

A safari honeymoon is adventure and romance in one trip. Wake to lions calling, spend days with your own guide and vehicle, dine under the stars, then unwind on an Indian Ocean island. We plan every detail so you can simply enjoy being newly married.

Hand-picked lodges only

We only recommend camps we know well, from Singita to &Beyond, Asilia and Four Seasons.

Private guides and vehicles

Every trip is tailor-made around your dates, pace and budget, never a fixed group tour.

Honeymoon perks and registries

Many lodges add something special for honeymooners, such as champagne, a private dinner or spa credit, and some offer honeymoon rates. These usually need proof of marriage within 6 to 12 months of travel. Ask us about a honeymoon registry, so friends and family can contribute to experiences such as a balloon flight or a night at Singita.

Honeymoon safari FAQs

What is the best destination for a safari honeymoon?

Tanzania with Zanzibar is our most popular choice, combining the Serengeti with beautiful beaches and short flights. Kenya with the Seychelles and South Africa with Mozambique or Mauritius are also excellent.

How long should a honeymoon safari be?

Ten to fourteen nights is ideal: 5 to 7 nights on safari across two or three camps, then 4 to 6 nights at the beach to relax.

How much does a honeymoon safari cost?

Most of our honeymoon safaris cost US$15,000 to US$35,000 per person for 10 to 13 nights, excluding international flights, depending on lodges and season.

Should we do the safari or the beach first?

Safari first. The early starts are easier at the beginning of the trip, and ending on the beach lets you unwind before flying home.

How far ahead should we book?

Book 9 to 12 months ahead, especially for June to October and for small camps with only a few suites.
